PLOT (2015-2017)

With voice, piano and electronics, this multimedia concert performance was developed in 2015 by Book and long-time collaborator Katharina Klement for Sexing Sound, a three day, city-wide symposium and festival in Chicago, October 22-24, 2015. Land, story, plan, scheme, area – the polyphony inherent in the semiotics of PLOT became the shifting ground for PLOT.v2, performed in the Austrian Alps at the international festival of jazz and improvised music, artactes in 2017.

Sexing Sound featured performances, installations, and panel discussions that examined the manifestations, contestations, and provocations of gender in contemporary music and sound art.
